After receiving a fine of over 7.5 million VND for violating regulations on providing and sharing information that promotes superstitions, the YouTuber has officially disabled monetization on her YouTube channel, hidden all uploaded videos, and said her goodbyes after 5 years of operation.

No longer active on YouTube, but Tho Nguyen has begun to rise after the shock. Recently, she has “gone online” on Facebook, updating a few activities as well as her feelings and thoughts about the recent unfortunate incident. Most recently, the Binh Duong YouTuber wrote an apology:
“I’m sorry, kids. Every night I still torment myself about the past, waking up in the morning with swollen eyes. The consequences of a mistake due to excessive complacency. I’m so sorry, a thousand times sorry to everyone.”

Tho Nguyen also revealed that she had been advised to remove the doll worship video due to its sensitive content, but out of excessive confidence, she said: “Kids watching TikTok are already so grown up, they can understand, I won’t remove it, it’s my TikTok, I can do whatever I want”, only to receive criticism from viewers.

“I owe everyone an apology.
…
My mistake was being too confident, thinking that everyone plays with dolls like I do. After over 20 years of playing with dolls, joking around with dolls like normal is also a mistake.
Being confident in thinking that any child would know this is just an ordinary doll is also a mistake.
When reminded, being overly confident again is also a mistake.
Letting others re-upload my clips and cause misunderstandings for others is also a mistake.
And affecting the kids is the biggest mistake.
Another mistake of mine was being too down during those days to not personally deliver an apology to the kids on YouTube.”
Tho Nguyen’s apology seems unable to restore viewers’ goodwill as she particularly emphasized, “having played with dolls for 20 years, joking around is normal.”

In the end, the female YouTuber expressed regret and “concluded” that she would not return to her video-making career anymore: “Goodbye to the clips, goodbye to the days of wandering around filming vlogs everywhere. Goodbye to all of you whom I owe for a lifetime. Please live well and be useful. Always love you endlessly. I’m sorry I can’t come back”.
Also on this Facebook account, Tho Nguyen revealed her engagement in charitable work, even during the peak of the public backlash.
