The Mega Launch event of Xiaomi has entered its second day with many big surprises for its customers. Alongside the Mi Mix Fold foldable phone, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer has also revealed a new logo and brand identity worth 2 million CNY (approximately 7 billion VND).

Xiaomi has changed its “outfit” slightly, yet it still costs 7 billion VND.

It is known that this identity system is named “Alive” and is the work of the famous Japanese designer Kenya Hara – a professor at Musashino Art University and Chairman of the Nippon Design Center (NDC). The biggest difference in the new logo lies in the outer border, which has been curved more softly. Meanwhile, the font and colors remain unchanged, with the dominant orange color symbolizing youthfulness and dynamism, exactly in line with the style that Xiaomi pursues. Black and silver continue to be used as two complementary colors to highlight luxury, especially for high-end product lines.
Regarding the name “Alive,” Kenya stated that this phrase can convey and visualize Xiaomi’s viewpoint and operational method, bringing a new identity that implies: Humans living (alive) in harmony with technology – which is created by humans themselves. This makes technology feel more soulful and an indispensable part of meeting human needs. The talented designer also emphasized that this idea perfectly aligns with Xiaomi, a brand that has brought many conveniences to humanity through its numerous technological innovations and inventions.
