For a long time, pranks and trolling on YouTube have become one of the most popular and trending content genres in the world. In Vietnam, it is no different, with names like Hưng Vlog, NTN, and countless other YouTubers once haunting viewers with their unconventional tricks. However, when it comes to the level of “pranking” and the significant consequences, perhaps no one compares to Alan and Alex Stokes.

Specifically, the American twin brothers Alan and Alex Stokes are quite famous on YouTube for their staged pranks and fabricated incidents. However, sometimes not everyone thinks it’s all fake, and when you push the boundaries of reality too far, it eventually leads to trouble. And perhaps no one could have anticipated the heavy price this duo would have to pay, but it does make sense, considering that staging pranks is one thing; this time, Alan and Alex pretended to be bank robbers in real life.

In that video, Alan and Alex convincingly impersonated bank robbers, or rather, they seemed so real. Dressed in all black, wearing masks, and even carrying a burlap sack filled with fake money, Alan and Alex hit the streets in the usual frantic style of criminals, trying to call an Uber and pretending to escape the scene while filming the whole process with a hidden camera for their viewers. Of course, no Uber driver agreed to pick up Alan and Alex, while passersby thought it was a real robbery and called the police.

The police arrived at the scene, and the first thing they did was draw their guns to subdue the two YouTubers. After realizing it was a prank by the twins, charges were quickly brought against them for “violence, intimidation, and deception,” and they even faced a potential sentence of up to 5 years in prison. Fortunately, in the end, both received a sentence of 160 hours of community service and were placed on probation. A lesson to remember for these twin brothers.

It is known that the Stokes brothers’ YouTube channel currently has over 6.6 million subscribers. And after the aforementioned incident, their latest video still attracted 1.4 million views, but of course, the content has toned down on the pranks and tricks significantly.
