Up to this point, the incident of a team in the Wild Rift tournament being accused of using map hacks has been causing a stir in the gaming community. It is not whether hacks actually exist or not, but the images used to accuse the team that make the community feel “humorous” and ridiculous.
As of now, the representatives from VNG, specifically the referee of that match, have spoken out at least twice affirming that Glory Gaming did not use hacks. In the group of teams participating in the qualifiers, immediately after the hacking allegations arose, VNG stated: “Not only the organizers but many other professional teams affirm that team GG played normally, without any signs of violation here. You should view this more objectively to progress together, rather than just blaming others. The organizers have monitored very carefully, and team GG strictly complied with the organizers’ requirements.”

Subsequently, on the Wild Rift forum regarding the post accusing map hacking, the VNG referee also reiterated: “I just want to leave this picture here. This is the image of the cam check of GG’s screen during the competition. If one person cheats, how can they dare to meet all the monitoring requirements of the organizers at that moment? Generally, cheaters always find reasons to avoid detection. Furthermore, GG always shows their screen at the start of the game and at the end of the match in front of the camera. Team GG deserves the current results, even though they lost to SGP, they remain optimistic and strive to learn more.”

Perhaps, the loss has led the accuser to misinterpret the reality of the situation. With the affirmations and clips released from Glory Gaming, it can be confirmed that this match was completely clean and showed no signs of map hacking. While it is known that map hacking is a rampant issue in mobile MOBA games, with the spirit of creating a fair and clean playing field, it is certain that VNG will never allow this to happen in such a large-scale professional tournament.
