1. Number of cases in Vietnam:
– As of 6 PM on April 30th: Vietnam has a total of 1584 COVID-19 cases from domestic transmission, with the number of new cases since January 27th amounting to 924 cases.
– From 6 AM to 6 PM on April 30th: 14 new cases, of which 10 were isolated immediately after entering the country.
2. Information on new cases: 14 new cases (BN 2915 – 2928), of which 10 were isolated immediately upon entry in Ho Chi Minh City (2), Tay Ninh (1), Soc Trang (2), Ba Ria – Vung Tau (5) and 4 cases recorded domestically in Ha Nam (2), Hanoi (2). Specifically:
– CASE 2915 (BN 2915) isolated immediately upon entry in Ho Chi Minh City: A 38-year-old female patient, a Vietnamese citizen residing in Thai Hoa town, Nghe An province. On April 26, 2021, the patient arrived from Germany via France at Tan Son Nhat Airport on flight VN10 and was isolated immediately upon entry in Ho Chi Minh City. The test result on April 28, 2021, was positive for SARS-CoV-2. The patient is currently isolated and treated at Cu Chi Field Hospital.
– CASE 2916 (BN 2916) isolated immediately upon entry in Ho Chi Minh City: A 32-year-old male patient, an expert of Indian nationality. On April 13, 2021, the patient arrived from India via the UAE at Tan Son Nhat Airport on flight EK392 and was isolated immediately upon entry in Ho Chi Minh City. The test result on April 28, 2021, was positive for SARS-CoV-2. The patient is currently isolated and treated at Cu Chi Field Hospital.
– CASE 2917 – 2918 (BN 2917 – BN 2918) recorded in Ha Nam: BN 2917 is the F1 (aunt) of BN 2908 – wife of BN 2899 and BN 2918 is the F1 (nephew) of BN 2899, both related to the cluster of cases in Ha Nam. Both patients are currently isolated and treated at Ha Nam General Hospital.
– CASE 2919 (BN 2919) isolated immediately upon entry in Tay Ninh: A 25-year-old female patient, a Vietnamese citizen residing in Dau Tieng district, Binh Duong province. On April 28, 2021, the patient entered through Moc Bai border gate and was isolated immediately upon entry in Tay Ninh province. The test result on April 30, 2021, was positive for SARS-CoV-2. The patient is currently isolated and treated at Ben Cau District Medical Center.
– CASE 2920 (BN 2920) isolated immediately upon entry in Soc Trang: A 29-year-old male patient, a Vietnamese citizen residing in Trang Bom district, Dong Nai province.
– CASE 2921 (BN 2921) isolated immediately upon entry in Soc Trang: A 27-year-old female patient, a Vietnamese citizen residing in Phu Nhuan district, Ho Chi Minh City.
On April 28, 2021, the above patients arrived from the Philippines at Can Tho Airport on flight QH9353 and were isolated immediately upon entry in Soc Trang province. The test result on April 29, 2021, was positive for SARS-CoV-2. The patients are currently isolated and treated at 30th April Hospital, Soc Trang.
– CASES BN 2922 – BN 2926 isolated immediately upon entry in Ba Ria – Vung Tau: The patients are Vietnamese citizens. On April 28, 2021, the patients arrived from Indonesia at Bourbon Port on the SEA Ocean vessel. The test result on April 29, 2021, was positive for SARS-CoV-2. The patients are currently isolated and treated at Long Dien District Medical Center.
– CASES BN 2927 – BN 2928 recorded in Hanoi: They are workers in Bac Thang Long industrial zone, F1 of BN 2911 (a friend of BN 2899, who attended a celebration on April 22), related to the cluster of cases in Ha Nam. The patients are currently isolated and treated at Central Tropical Diseases Hospital, Dong Anh branch.
3. Number of people in quarantine: The total number of close contacts and entrants from epidemic areas being monitored for health (quarantine): 37,249, including:
– Concentrated quarantine at hospitals: 531
– Concentrated quarantine at other facilities: 21,668
– Quarantine at home or accommodation: 15,050.
4. Treatment situation: According to the report from the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment – Ministry of Health:
