Charging and using your phone at the same time is a particularly dangerous habit that has previously caused many tragic accidents. Yet, these lessons have not been enough to alert users. Recently, another similar tragic news emerged involving a 54-year-old woman from Thailand.

Her name was Yooyen Saenprasert, and she was living with her husband in their home in Udon Thani province, northeastern Thailand. Her body was found by her husband on the bed with a charging cable resting on her arm, still plugged into her mobile device and the power source at home. With signs of bruising on her right arm, the woman was believed to have been electrocuted.
Despite attempts to revive Yooyen, medical staff could not improve the situation. The victim is believed to have passed away more than 4 hours after her body was discovered.

At the scene, Mr. Praiwan Saenprasert (Yooyen’s husband) expressed his grief, stating that he had bought the smartphone for his wife as a birthday gift just two days prior. Praisit added that his wife enjoyed playing mobile games to relax in bed but they were unaware that doing so could be dangerous while the phone was charging.
Due to suspicions surrounding the circumstances of her death, Yooyen’s family has now taken her body to the hospital for an autopsy. The funeral will be organized by the family later.
