In recent years, the explosion of the TikTok platform has created a space where anyone can become famous. However, the overlap between the fast-paced entertainment environment, which sometimes accepts “clickbait” at any cost, has led to some “content” that is shocking.
Recently, a female TikToker who creates content about teaching at the primary level has become the center of a fierce wave of criticism, with the online community accusing her of creating inappropriate “content,” engaging in excessive flirtation, and more seriously, tarnishing the image of the noble teaching profession.

“Teacher Idol” Sparks Controversy
Initially, the appearance of teachers on TikTok was generally well-received. They brought a vibrant, modern image of a “Gen Z Teacher” who uses social media to share creative teaching methods, interesting knowledge, or simply relatable everyday moments with students. This image helped bridge the generational gap and made the teaching profession more appealing.
However, as fame and the pressure to “catch views” increased, some individuals, including the female TikToker C.G.Q., began to shift towards exploiting sensual aspects, excessively flirtatious behaviors, and scandalous content to attract huge audiences. The goal was no longer merely education but to become a “Teacher Idol” on social media, where interaction takes precedence over pedagogy.

Specifically, the controversial content of this teacher centers around videos where she appears in modest clothing but engages in “body flaunting” and overly flirtatious expressions while preparing for teaching duties.
Inappropriate Behavior Disturbing the Environment
Teaching is a profession dedicated to imparting knowledge and shaping the character of the younger generation. Teachers are seen as role models in lifestyle, behavior, and dignity. Actions deemed “inappropriate” on social media, especially sexually suggestive or excessively exaggerated content, not only annoy adults but also negatively impact the thinking and perception of students—the direct audience interacting with that teacher.

Many opinions suggest that the teacher’s obsession with the “hot girl” or “idol” image through easy-going videos has inadvertently overshadowed her core role, diminishing the dignity of the profession.
The outrage from the online community stems from her actions on social media, which exceed the ethical standards of the teaching profession. Viewers, especially parents and genuine educators, feel that the image of the noble profession is being “distorted” and used as a tool for clickbait and profit on social media.

The harshest comments often focus on the teacher’s “lack of necessary seriousness” and “failure to maintain the image” of someone standing at the lectern. They fear that if this trend continues, the traditional value and respect for teachers will be eroded.
The “Teacher Idol” may be a fleeting phenomenon, but the damage to the image of the teaching profession is long-lasting!
