Not only improving his health through running, but also creating interesting artwork: two activities that seem unrelated at first glance, yet this is exactly what a young man is doing every morning.
His name is Dang Viet, currently a legal staff member in Hanoi. Since discovering an app that tracks physical activities like running or cycling, which highlights the paths users have taken in orange on the map, he has utilized this feature to run while creating various interesting images.

With varying lengths of paths, ranging from 10 to 40 km depending on the complexity of the drawings, Viet sets off accordingly. For longer distances, he wakes up early, running from 3 AM for about 7-8 hours. For simpler designs, he runs from 4:30 or 5:30 AM and takes 3 hours to complete.
Previously, Dang Viet sketches the designs on his phone, then uses the mapping app to check the route and measure distances. While running, he regularly checks his phone to view the map, ensuring he doesn’t go off course. From his first achievement, he has now created 19 special pieces of art.
He started running in 2020, but it was not until the social distancing policy was implemented due to the COVID-19 pandemic that he found the time to engage in this activity. Besides running for health, it has also helped him explore the streets of Hanoi.
