For streamers, aside from the income from viewer donations, receiving advertisements is quite normal. In fact, some streamers even use their channels for business purposes. While this is not inherently wrong, advertising in an inappropriate manner, like Jie Pi in this story, deserves criticism.

If you didn’t know, Jie Pi is a rising female streamer in the past two years and currently has about 350 thousand fans. The content Jie Pi focuses on is sharing beauty tips and selecting health care products for women. As she gradually builds a significant fan base, advertising contracts have come to Jie Pi very quickly.

Most recently, she received an advertising contract for a type of home massage machine. To meet the viewer count requirements, Jie Pi came up with the idea of undressing on stream while trying the product. True to her plan, she actually “undressed 99%” and exposed many sensitive areas during her advertising stream on July 5th.

Almost immediately, Jie Pi’s stream became a hot topic on social media. However, the number of supporters for this streaming method was few, while the number of opponents was countless. Many people claimed that Jie Pi’s actions were far too inappropriate and no one wanted to buy the products she was advertising. “Can she really stream with such actions? Doesn’t she feel ashamed?” – A harsh comment criticizing Jie Pi on social media.
Not stopping at just online criticism, many people called for reporting Jie Pi’s stream channel so that she could no longer go live. Indeed, after a short time of calling for action, Jie Pi’s channel was banned, though it remains unclear whether this is a temporary or permanent punishment. It’s fair to say that Jie Pi’s career has been completely buried due to the disastrous advertisement mentioned above.
