Upon opening, the ROG ScreenPad Plus™ automatically tilts at a 13-degree angle to enhance airflow into the cooling system and provide a more ergonomic viewing angle for the second screen. The ASUS engineering team has developed and launched a highly durable four-direction hinge technology that allows the ROG ScreenPad Plus™ to slide back and lift up at the same speed, sitting closely alongside the main screen to create an almost borderless experience, enhancing immersion. The AAS Plus 2.0 cooling system takes advantage of the 28.5mm gap between the screen and the chassis to intake over 30% more cool air compared to traditional gaming laptop designs.
Top-notch Display Quality
The ROG ScreenPad Plus™ is not the only component upgraded this year. The main display of the ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 has an increased aspect ratio of 16:10 for a more spacious workspace, with ultra-thin bezels and a screen-to-body ratio of up to 91%.
In terms of technology, the main screen of the ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 uses a super-bright Mini LED panel with up to 1100 nits brightness, a 2K resolution at 165Hz, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certification, and 512 local dimming zones, providing the best HDR experience. Thanks to AUO’s AmLED technology and the ROG Nebula HDR Engine, the ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 utilizes extremely precise backlighting to create beautiful contrast with local dimming. High specifications require a good cooling system, and the ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 is no exception. With the new Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut Extreme liquid metal thermal paste, the CPU temperature of the ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 can be reduced by up to 15°C, an effectiveness 17 times better than traditional thermal pastes. Cooler temperatures help increase stability and performance of both CPU and GPU, pushing TGP up to 150W.
