Recently, ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) and VNG announced the ROG Phone Invitational Series 2022 – a League of Legends: Wild Rift esports tournament with a total prize pool of up to 300 million VND.
The qualifying round will take place over 4 weeks from July 22 to August 13 to select the top 4 teams. After that, the members of the weekly champion teams will combine with professional players to form 8 teams participating in the final Showmatch expected to take place on August 27-28.
Through this tournament, ROG and VNG aim to accompany the development of the professional esports scene for League of Legends: Wild Rift in Vietnam. This is an opportunity for young gamers to gain knowledge, skills, and a competitive mindset through a competitive environment with professional players.

Tournament Information
Eligibility and Registration Period
– Eligibility: Vietnamese citizens aged 18 and over residing in Vietnam.
– Registration period: from July 18, 2022, to August 10, 2022.

Qualifying Round
– Match time: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings from July 22, 2022, to August 14, 2022.
– Match format: Online
– Final registration list will be closed every Wednesday. Teams that have lost in previous rounds can re-register to compete in the next round.
– Weekly qualifiers: Teams will be paired randomly. Compete in a single-elimination BO1 format to select 16 teams for the weekly livestream round.
– Weekly livestream round: Comprising 16 teams/week, competing in a single-elimination BO3 format.
Final Showmatch
– Expected match time August 27-28, 2022.
– Match format: Offline
– The top 4 champion teams from each week will enter the Showmatch final round. Teams will be randomly paired with guest professional players to form 8 teams divided into 2 groups.
– Group stage: round-robin scoring to select the 2 strongest teams from each group to proceed.
– Semifinals: single-elimination BO3 format.
– Finals: single-elimination BO5 format.
