Widespread Harmful and Distorted Musical Content on TikTok
Not only explicit content, but TikTok today is also a place where “distorted songs” appear and even become cover trends. Many TikTok users feel outraged as these offensive parody songs rapidly develop and are openly shared on this platform. Recently, the poem “Lượm” by poet Tố Hữu was suddenly parodied, becoming an offensive trend.

Many users are understandably upset when the character Lượm from literature is insulted and turned into meaningless, silly lyrics. Notably, this is not the first time users have witnessed “harmful” parody songs on this platform. It would be truly dangerous if these lyrics influence the development of aesthetic thinking and literary appreciation, as well as historical understanding among the youth, especially students still in school.
Nờ Ô NÔ Returns Nonchalantly
Nờ Ô NÔ was once a TikToker who faced severe backlash from the online community due to a series of outrage-inducing clips that mocked the poor. At that time, TikTok announced that it had banned this TikToker’s account. “We have permanently banned the account of user @tuanbrice (also known as ‘Nờ Ô NÔ’) for content that does not meet our community standards,” a TikTok representative in Vietnam stated.

However, in various ways, this TikToker has recently returned with an account boasting over 350,000 followers. This shows the “laxity” of a segment of TikTok users and even the platform itself. If Nờ Ô NÔ’s clips were not promoted by TikTok, they would definitely not reach users. So were the previously considered strong actions merely for show?
