On November 14, Ho Chi Minh City Police announced that they had initiated criminal proceedings and issued an order to arrest defendant Nguyen Thi An (born 1995, model An Tay, Andrea Aybar) for investigation regarding the act of organizing illegal drug use.
Also arrested for this act were Nguyen Trung Hieu (born 1989, singer Chi Dan) and Nguyen Do Truc Phuong (born 1994, KOL, hot Tiktoker known as “the fairy of charity”).
According to Ho Chi Minh City Police, this is the result of an expanded investigation into a criminal organization that illegally transported drugs via air from France to Vietnam on March 16, 2023 (case code VN10).

Ho Chi Minh City Police also stated that during Case VN10, they had “completely dealt with the individuals who had previously purchased drugs from those arrested in the case to organize illegal drug use.” Among these is model An Tay and the two suspects mentioned.
Earlier, on the afternoon of November 9, police unexpectedly checked an apartment in a high-end building in Thu Duc City, discovering model An Tay and several friends exhibiting signs of organizing drug use. Upon inspection, police confirmed that Andrea Aybar tested positive for drugs.

Around the same time, Tan Binh District Police also checked a location in the area and discovered singer Chi Dan suspected of using drugs; police also found and arrested “the fairy” Truc Phuong for drug use.
Initially, police confirmed that singer Chi Dan, model An Tay, “the fairy” Truc Phuong, along with many others, were organizing illegal drug use.
By November 14, Ho Chi Minh City Police had initiated criminal proceedings and detained the suspects to continue the expanded investigation into the case.
Case VN10 Originating from the Discovery of 4 Flight Attendants Carrying Drugs
Case VN10 was established by Ho Chi Minh City Police from the discovery of an airline crew trafficking drugs illegally from France to Vietnam via air, which was uncovered on March 16, 2023.
In a short time, Ho Chi Minh City Police clarified that besides the seized shipment, the suspects had successfully conducted 6 shipments containing drugs through Noi Bai International Airport.
After that, the suspects expedited domestic deliveries to Ho Chi Minh City for concealment and distribution in many provinces and cities. Ho Chi Minh City Police clarified the entire criminal network, identifying the mastermind and leader, while releasing 4 female flight attendants who were exploited by the criminals.

Continuing the investigation, to date, Ho Chi Minh City Police have dismantled nearly 500 drug trafficking rings and gangs, initiated criminal proceedings against 1,132 suspects; imposed administrative penalties and documented 201 individuals for rehabilitation, confiscated 323.5 kg of various drugs, 12 firearms, 3 grenades, and many related pieces of evidence.
Initially, investigators have clarified that the suspects engaged in drug transactions amounting to over 28 trillion VND.
