After a rather… calm and quiet 2019, with not many standout products emerging in the Vietnamese gaming scene, the new year has sparked the community’s thirst to experience and dive into blockbuster games that are just waiting to “explode” in 2020.
Let’s take a look at some of these games!
League of Legends: Wild Rift
This is definitely the first name to appear on the “must-play games of 2020” list for Vietnamese gamers. Developed by Riot Games, it promises to bring the full essence of the PC version into League of Legends: Wild Rift.
Therefore, we can rest assured about the “engagement” of the game as soon as it launches, even though the market is filled with similar MOBA games. The familiarity in interface, skills, skins… which League of Legends gamers adore will be a significant advantage for this new product.
League of Legends: Wild Rift is expected to be released by Riot Vietnam in the fourth quarter of the year, meaning it will take another 9 to 10 months. However, images and detailed gameplay videos of League of Legends Mobile have already leaked online, garnering attention from millions of LoL fans worldwide.
Final Fantasy VII Remake
It would be a miss if 2020 overlooked the PC sector, as it is the most promising and fertile ground of all time. Many of you surely played (or at least heard of) Final Fantasy VII, featuring the cool guy Cloud and the beautiful girl Tifa Lockhart. However, the graphics from decades ago were merely blocky, unable to fully capture the story and the appearance of these legendary characters.
In March this year, that longing will be fulfilled by Square Enix with the Final Fantasy VII Remake. To talk about the popularity of FF VII Remake: While still in the “teasing” phase, the game already won the Game of Show, Best Console Game, and Best Role-Playing Game awards. This demonstrates its immense appeal to the global gaming community in general and dedicated fans in particular, including hundreds of thousands of Vietnamese gamers.
Teamfight Tactics Mobile
Another blockbuster comes from Riot. With the success of Teamfight Tactics on the PC client, the developer quickly grasped the gamers’ psyche to prepare for the launch of Teamfight Tactics Mobile.
Thus, Teamfight Tactics is likely to be a cross-platform game mode, allowing players on various systems to compete with each other anytime, anywhere. This is an excellent opportunity to expand the League of Legends universe while keeping gamers engaged with Riot for as long as possible.
Resident Evil 3 Remake
The iconic horror game series – Resident Evil will continue to explode this year with RE3 Remake. Following the tremendous success 20 years ago, Resident Evil 3 Remake impresses with its entirely new graphics and gameplay.
The game’s story will still revolve around the main character Jill Valentine, who first appeared in Resident Evil 1. This time, she returns to Racoon to uncover exactly what happened as well as the shady, illegal activities within the Umbrella Corporation.
Fortunately, RE3 has a relatively light configuration, which should not challenge most fans of this game series.
Cyberpunk 2077
Those who love the character John Wick – Keanu Reeves are surely waiting for Cyberpunk 2077 every day. The game will be released on PS4, Xbox, and PC on April 16, 2020.
